Amethyst is a journalist who has a keen interest in telling the stories of underserved communities. She has interned at NJ.com and the Star-Ledger, the Austin American-Statesman, Delaware Online and the News Journal, Barron's, and most recently, The Daily Beast, where she has been working since October 2024. Last year, she served as the executive editor of her campus newspaper, The Rider News. She is currently a Data Journalism master's student at Columbia University, and is based in New York City.
